The AP4-FD21 eliminates the need for DSP and summing devices by providing a 6-channel preamp output so you can upgrade your amplifier without modifying the factory radio. This amplifier integration interface retains all audio from factory features and includes plug-and-play connections for easy installation.

Compatible with select Ford vehicles equipped with 8.4” radios and Sony factory amplified audio systems
Including 2015-2018 Edge, 2016 Escape, 2015-2017 Expedition, 2011-2018 Explorer, 2013-2017 F-150, 2013-2019 F-250, and 2013-2019 F-350 models.
Also compatible with 2013-2019 F-450, 2013-2019 F-550, 2012-2017 Focus, 2013-2016 Fusion, 2019-2020 Mustang, and 2013-2015 Taurus models for a customized fit.
Variable 5V RMS front, rear, and sub preamp outputs
Features fading, balance, equalization, and level control capabilities.
Customized OE bass, mid, and treble center frequency selection
Allows precision tuning.
Provides flat audio output
For a solid audio foundation.
Retains audio from factory features
Including SYNC, Bluetooth audio, safety warning chimes, parking sensor chimes, and navigation prompts.
Data-controlled remote amplifier turn-on

Allows you to add a subwoofer to the factory sound system and adjust sublevel with the included bass knob.
Optional TOSLINK optical output
Provides a variable 2-channel fiber optic digital audio output when used in conjunction with APA-TOS1 (sold separately).
